So SI is the International System of units.

1 Volt is equal to 1 kg*m^2 / (Amp*sec^3). One way to figure this out is to remember that

Power (watts) = Volts*Amps,

So Volt = Watt/Amp.

A Watt is Joule/second.

A Joule is Newton*meter.

force = mass * accel, so Newton = kg*(m/s^2)


If you want Scientific Notation, then you move the decimal point so that the number is between 1 and 10 (greater than or equal to 1, and less than 10).


The number of positions that you move it is the power of 10. If the number started out less than 1, then the exponent is negative. Otherwise it is positive. If you do not need to move then the exponent is zero.

In this case we move three places to get 7.3, so the power is 10^-3. The value in Scientific Notation is 7.3 x 10^-3 V.
