When working with double digit multiplication there is a simple life hack that will make solving such problems a matter of addition.

First we want to start out by making the problem a little simpler: Let's start with 60 x 20. We know that this equals out to 1200. But then we're left with 6 x 20, which is an additional 120. So if we take 1200 + 120 we're given 1320.

Which is the answer: 66 x 20 = 1320. You can solve these double digits, by simply breaking them down and adding together.

The same hack holds true for triple digit multiplication and more! If we were to take 666 x 200, we'd simply do 600 x 200, which is 120,000. Then we still have 66 x 200 left. Well this is simpler as 60 x 200 which is 12,000. Then we're left with 6 x 200, which equals 1200.

We add up, 120,000 + 12,000 + 1200 = 133,200
