They said it is 30 divided by half, and then add 10. If it had been 30 divided by 2 and then add 10, it would have been 25.

When you divide 30 by half, you are essentially dividing it by 0.5, which is the same as multiplying by 2. So, 30 divided by half is equal to 30 multiplied by 2, which equals 60. Adding 10 to 60 gives you a final answer of 70.

30:2=15 15+10=25 so it's 25

AnswerA different aproach would be to do the following:

30 : 1/2 (a half) = 60 + 10 = 70.

Half of 30 is 15 so divide 30 by 15 and you get 2 + 10= 12!
