This is a practical sampling question. Get 9 friends and each of you buy a decent sized bag of M&Ms. Then go through and count how many of each colour. The more bags of M&Ms you sample, the closer you will get to an actual answer to your question. Enjoy! They are tasty.

∙ 7y agoM and Ms used to have a general percentage of 24% cyan blue, 20% orange, 16% green, 14% bright yellow, 13% red, 13% brown. However, the company stopped posting the proportions in 2008, since packaging may vary. For a year or so, they discontinued the Red colored ones, but at consumer request, it was added later.
