Let the diagonals be x+10.5 and x:-

Area: 0.5*(x+10.5)*x = 67.5

Rearranging terms: x^2 +10.5x -135 = 0

Using the quadratic equation formula: x has a positive value of 7.5

Therefore diagonals are: 18 and 7.5

The rhombus will have 4 interior right angle triangles with sides of 9 and 3.75

Using Pythagoras' theorem each hypotenuse side is 9.75

Perimeter of the rhombus: 4 times 9.75 = 39 cm

How do you find the perimeter of a rhombus when area is given?

There is no relationship between the perimeter and the area of a rhombus. Take a rhombus with all 4 sides = 2 units. Therefore the perimeter is 8 units. There are an infinite number of possible areas for this rhombus. The largest possible area will be when the rhombus approaches the shape of a square = 4 square units. The smallest area will be when the one diagonal approaches 0 units and the other diagonal approaches 4 units (squashed almost flat). So two very extreme areas can have the same perimeter, including all those areas in-between.

What is the perimeter of a square with diagonal 12 centimeters?

The perimeter of a square with a diagonal of 12 centimeters is: 33.9 centimeters. In future, to find out the perimeter of a square when you only know it's diagonal, use Pythagoras or times the diagonal by 2.828427125.This number is irrational, and is like a pi for the diagonals of squares.I call it Tau.It is the relationship between the diagonal of all squares and there perimeter.

Do the diagonals of a rhombus bisect its opposite angles?

Yes. In a rhombus (and in a square), the opposite angles that each diagonal connects are bisected by the diagonal.

What is the formula for the perimeter of a rhombus?

Perimeter of a rhombus = 4 x (length of one side)(Notice how closely the formula resemblesthe one for the perimeter of a square.)

The length of a diagonal of a square is 24square root 2 millimeters find perimeter of the square?

Similarities and differences of a square and rhombus?

The main difference between a square and a rhombus is that a square has all its angles equal to 90 degrees and a rhombus does not. A square has 4 lines of symmetry while rhombus only has 2. The diagonal lengths of a square are of the same measure. Rhombus diagonal lengths are of different measures. They are both a quadrilateral, all sides are equal in length, and opposite sides are parallel to each other.

What are the shape in geometry?

There are lot of shapes in geometry. It is called polygons. Triangle, trapezoid, circle, parallelogram, rhombus, rectangle, diagonal, square etc. Parallelogram, rhombus, rectangle, diagonal, square, and trapezoid are quadrilaterals.

Is the perimeter of a rhombus in units or square units?

Units, because the perimeter is just the edge. The area is square units.
