The purpose of a water tower is to maintain constant water pressure in a water distribution system.
so people can have running water i there house
The above is true, but there is more to the story.
Water towers function as storage cisterns for water and also serve to equalize water pressure between times of heavy and light usage.
Water could be sent directly to homes and factories using pumps, but this would result in large differences in pressure during times of fluctuating useage since the pumps would be unable to compensate quickly for the increased/decreased demand.
The water tower serves as a buffer zone, supplying water at exactly the same pressure (gravitational pull, which is constant) throughout the day regardless of useage, and the pumps can easily respond to lower levels as needed
Water pressure in real towers is created by the height of the tower above the surface of the earth, and the diameter of the pipe supplying the water to the output. The same should hold true for a model water tower.
how do we tame runway for irrigation purpose
The Cooling tower is installed where the continuous heat rejection is required. Like process plants. Type is depends up on use & water property.
Probably the Romans. Not sure about water towers but they built some serious aqueducts to bring water to Rome.
Pls do the followings; 1. Clean all the dust, debris, deposits, etc if any in tower structure periodically. 2. Increase the tower height if possible 3. Choose correct water treatment program
