I think you are referring to the relationship between the temperature measurements of Degrees Celsius (C) and Degrees Fahrenheit (F). The difference between the freezing and boiling point of water is 0C-100C or 32F-212F. So the conversion formula is: F = C*1.8 + 32


If you are asking about the temperature conversion formula then,

Celsius to Fahrenheit:

F = 1.8(C)+32

Fahrenheit to Celsius:

C = (F – 32)/1.8

Anders Celsius developed the formula in 1742.

Note:

If you convert -40oC you will get -40oF. Both scales show the same at -40o.
