Dexter didn't want a pocket calculator for math because he preferred to solve problems using his own intellect and skills, valuing the process of learning over simply getting the right answers. He believed that relying on technology could hinder his understanding of mathematical concepts. Additionally, Dexter often sought to challenge himself, enjoying the satisfaction of overcoming difficulties through his own efforts.
