Well, a good example of this is the Latter Day Saint, or "Mormon," church. Their growth is exponential because they harbor different teachings from other religions and many people find this appealing. I guess what I'm trying to say is, different Christian churches have very different doctrine.

Why do different Christian church groups differ in the number of people involved?

The term "Christian church" to a Christian is equal to the "color blue" to an artist. There is sky blue, steel blue, royal blue, turquoise, teal, aqua and other endless categories. Who are the members of the Christian church?

Unfortunately, there is no single answer to this question that will be acceptable to all Christian groups. For example, the Pope recently made public comments reflecting the long-standing teaching of his church that the Roman Catholic church is the one true church. Among other mainline Christian groups, there will be some that will claim exclusive rights to be considered the Christian church. Other moderate mainline churches will be open to varieties of other interpretations. There is no such separate entity as a 'Christian church' but rather a body of persons from many denominations who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord.

IS THE CHURCH OF GOD AND THE CHURCH OF CHRIST THE SAME CHURCH?

The Church of God and the Church of Christ are not the same church; they represent different Christian denominations with distinct beliefs and practices. The Church of God typically refers to a Pentecostal denomination characterized by its emphasis on the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts, while the Church of Christ is known for its commitment to the authority of Scripture and practices like baptism by immersion. Although both groups identify as Christian, their theological perspectives and worship styles vary significantly.

What other religions have similar Bibles?

Ummm... Similar to what, exactly? There are different versions of the Bible, in the sense that several Christian groups (and a few non-Christian groups, such as Judaism) differ in what books they consider to be "canon", that is, what books are included in the Bible. Other religions (non-Christians) have their own Holy Scripture, but those are different books, and they are not called "Bible". You would have to make up your own mind as to how "similar" you consider them to be.
