Pi never ends. That's why it's so special.
If you're celebrating Pi Day today (March 14), then you're a certified math geek or physics geek or maybe even a tech geek. If you're just an outside observer, we thought you might like to know why all the hubbub over 3.1415926535 ... well, that could go on forever, so … On Pi Day, pi enthusiasts wear clothing adorned with the pi symbol, eat pie, and even throw pi-related parties. March 14 is chosen as the day to celebrate pi, because the numerical date, 3/14, represents the first 3 digits of pi. Hardcore Pi Day celebrants are planning special events for 9:26:53 a.m. on March 14, 2015, as the numerical date 3/14/15 9:26:53 represents the first 7 digits of pi, 3.141592653. [Real Pie Chart: America's Favorite Pies] The concept of pi is important to mathematics because of its relationship to the circle; it is a constant representing the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. Since pi is found in so many different equations in math, physics and other sciences, it is considered one of the most important mathematical constants.
Pi day is March 14, or 3/14 because Pi starts 3.14.... We celebrate peoples birthday on the day they were born. Einstein was born on March 14th so we celebrate his, and everyone else who was born on March 14th, on Pi day.
because the first three numbers in pi are 3.14 so they celebrate it on 3/14.
Because March is the third month of the year, so you get 3, and then the fourteenth gives you the number 14. So you get 3.14, the first three digits of pi.
Pi never ends. That's why it's so special.
Pi is a number and a day the number is 3.14159...Pi day is March 14th. during pi day you must eat the most amount of pie ever! Like gain 20lb! So pig out have fun! Or else you are a discrace to the good PI or PIE!EAT PIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!***************************************************************_______________________________________________________________________The main idea of pi is that it expresses the relationship between the circumference of a circle and the diameter of a circle. Numerically it is indeed 3.14159.....First of all, Pi and Pie have nothing to do with each other so you dont HAVE to eat pie (although i would anyway ;] ) Second pi day is March 14 (at 1:59) But on March 14, 2015 at 9:26 it will be 3.1415926!!! Lol!! I feel like a math geek now..... weird... :)

The circumference is equal to the diameters times pi. Pi is approximately 3.14, so just multiply 3 x 3.14. If you have a scientific calculator, it will probably include a special key to give you a better approximation for pi.The circumference is equal to the diameters times pi. because the first three numbers in pi are 3.14 so they celebrate it on 3/14.
It is so special because ....That is the day we remember all the solders.Who died for us.
That format is day, month, year. So for example, January 1, 2015 would be 1 January 2015.
pi = 3.14, and in months that's March 14 (3/14), so it's just a fun day for kids at some schools who actually bring in pie, or a pizza pie. because i like pi and pi is good. and i do believe its spelt pie
I think the question would more correctly be posed as "why did the United States, decide to celebrate Pi Day on Albert Einstein's birthday?" Pi Day was started by Larry Shaw in 1988. Einstein was born in 1879 and died in 1955. (He was already dead when Pi day came into existence, so there is no way he could have been born on Pi day.) See the related links below for additional information.
In 2015, there was 94 murders so that is way less than 1 a day.
Nothing "caused" it. There was a feeling, amongst mathematicians, that pi is a pretty important number so why not celebrate it. And if so, it was obvious that the most appropriate date would be 14th of March or 3.14, which is pi to 2 decimal places.
