Largest does not necessarily equate to tallest or fattest. Where as Robert Wadlow was 8' 11" in height, he maxed out at 430 lbs - which is thin for a man this tall! Jon Minoch who weighed in at an incredible 1,400 lbs was only 6' 1". Therefore, to be the largest, you have to be a combination of height and weight. Andre the Giant would be a large man at 6' 11" in height and hovering around the 450 lb mark. However, even he pales in comparison to Mills Darden or Angus Macaskill. Macaskill stood 7' 9" and is considered the tallest "true" giant in history. With a reported 80" chest and 12" hands his weigh frequently topped 550 lbs. His strength was lengendary is often considered the strongest man in history. Mills Darden by comparison was "only" 7' 6" but weighed in at 1,020 lbs. A true giant. When he yelled, it is said that Darden could be heard a mile away!

Robert Pershing Wadlow (February 22, 1918 - July 15, 1940) is the tallest person in medical history for whom there is irrefutable evidence. He is often known as the "Alton Giant" because of his Alton, Illinois hometown. Wadlow was noted for having the largest and broadest hands ever in recorded history being capable to hide a 2-liter bottle of soda in them easily. Wadlow reached 8 feet 11.1 inches (2.72 m) in height and weighed 490 pounds (220 kg) at his death. His great size and his continued growth in adulthood was due to hypertrophy of his pituitary gland which results in an abnormally high level of human growth hormone. He showed no indication of an end to his growth even at the time of his death.
