As far as i am aware, one needs to book in advance for performing the the seva. One needs to have at least one of their parents to be present with them, the puja needs to be performed by a purohit whose has lost both his parents. It takes 3 days to perform the seva. Depending upn the nature of the sarpa dosha, the seva varies and the purohits at Kukke Subramanya temple are are more than helpful to lead you through the process.
