I have a 28 year old Luxaire oil furnace and AC system. It has worked well and has only required minor repairs and servicing. The AC recently failed (fan on the condenser unit). I am considering replacing it versus repairing it since new systems are more efficient.

Luxaire is an off brand manufactured by York (Johnson Controls Inc). I have been to the York plant in York Pa twice back in the mid 90`s. Not where they make Luxaire but that plant was staffed by UAW workers. I doubt the Luxaire brand is made with union labor especially now that the parent company is JCI.
