If you are dialing another extension in the same company, you just dial the extension number. If you are dialing an extension number on a different phone system (for example, a different company, or a different location of the same company), you will need to dial something else before the extension number.
Before Direct Inward Dialing, if you wanted to reach a specific employee at a large company, you had to call the main switchboard and ask to be connected to that extension. DID allows you to dial a number that connects directly to the specific extension. For example, to reach extension 175, you might dial 555-0175. DID just means that each extension has its own direct telephone number that can be dialed from the outside without going through a switchboard or an automated attendant.
You enter *67 before you put the number you are dialing.
add +33 before the phone number when dialing it.
Dialing 97 and then a telephone number will reach a wrong number.
The term "suffix phone" typically refers to a type of phone number that includes an extension or additional digits at the end to route the call to a specific person or department within a company. Callers are usually prompted to enter the extension number after dialing the main phone number.
Speed dialing is a system that allows you to dial an abbreviated code (usually one or two digits) instead of dialing the entire telephone number. You must program your speed dial numbers before using them.
*67 then your number
For dialing a telephone number outside your local area.
If calling from another country always use the number one before actually dialing the number and the area codes are different
The inrnational dialing code for the UAE is +971 followed by the number you are dialing, if it is a mobile number it will probably start with 05 e.g. +97150 ....... if it is a land-line number then it will be +971 followed by the emirate code and then the number you are dialing e.g. Dubai +971 4 ......
Normally you dial * then 6 then 7. If you are using a rotary phone, you can dial 1167 instead of *67.
In North America (USA, Canada, etc.), dialing *67 or equivalently 1167 before a telephone number will block your Caller ID from being sent, for that one call only. There is no charge for this service.
