The Ace of Spades is commonly thought of as the highest-ranking card in the deck of playing cards, although the actual value of the card varies from game to game. In popular myth and folklore, it is also known as "The Death Card."

An ace acts as a 1, 11, high card (highest card in the deck), wild card, or a 0 depending on what card game your playing. The only game i can think of that the ace is a 0 is the Golf card game.

The one with only one symbol (heart, spade, diamond or club) on it. In some card games it is a "low" card counting as 1; in others it is the "high" card and tops the King.
