Philosophy is the study of everything, thinking of every possibility and every possibility within that possibility.

Most other fields only study what is within the realms of their field. It's not so much a study, as it is people using their fully functioning brain to contemplate all existing and nonexistent things, contemplating the reason for them and the reason for the reason, etc. It is an infinite form of thinking.
