Computers, electronic or mechanical, are machines and don't have the ability to understand being mean. In fact they don't have any understanding at all. They are just machines. You can type anything on the keyboard or say anything into a microphone. If it is programmed to interpret that input and act on it, it will do so. Otherwise nothing will happen or you may have an error condition.

As shown the the feature film "Hidden Figures", before the popular use of digital (or analog) computers, people were hired to perform complex calculations manually or with the help of mechanical calculators. These people computed results from mathematical problems and they were referred to as computers. Being mean to them may have resulted in some sort of negative response.
