He created the first Academy of Athens, and while at this academy he educated who would soon become the most influential mathematicians and philosophers. This became the first European University, and became the main intellectual center in Greece for almost nine hundred years. While doing this he created the method of philosophical problem solving, and his Theory of Forms.

He discovered platonic molecules,and simple interest. his first student was Aristotle.
