Aristotle thought that when you drop 2 things with different masses that the heavier one would hit the ground first. Galileo proved him wrong by rolling two balls of different masses down an incline plane and timing them using a clock. He found that the mass of an object does not affect how quickly it accelerates due to gravity.

Why were Aristotle's ideas wrong?

because they were proved wrong by other scientists.

Who discovered that matter is made of firewater earth and air?

That was Aristotle's claim, but then, Aristotle was wrong about most everything.

How was Aristotle's dynamic motion theory proven wrong?

Aristotle's dynamic motion theory was proven wrong with the advancements in physics and the development of Newton's laws of motion. Newton's laws provided a more accurate description of how objects move and interact with each other, which contradicted Aristotle's ideas about motion and force. Additionally, the observations and experiments of scientists like Galileo further disproved Aristotle's theories on motion.

What year did Galileo prove the Aristotle theory wrong?

verry near to nothing he had a few theorys witch turned out to be wrong

Who discovered theory of the universe was held as law for thousands of years even though you were wrong?

The question seems poorly phrased, but perhaps you are referring to Aristotle. Aristotle had opinions about EVERYTHING, widely voiced his opinions, and was entirely wrong in almost every particular. In fact, Aristotle may be the wrong-est man to ever live. Millions of needless early deaths were caused by his laughably incorrect medical teachings, which stulted the field of medicine for over 1500 years. His astronomy was wrong, his physics were idiotic, and his chemistry was below the level of "juvenile".

What was Aristotles astronomic discovery?

Aristotle really didn't make any discoveries. In fact, Aristotle may have been the WRONG-EST man who ever lived. His knowledge of chemistry was laughable; his physics were primitive. Aristotle wrote that heavier objects fall faster than light ones, which Galileo proved wrong 1500 years later. His incorrect writings about medicine and physiology may have killed more people than any other person. For example, Aristotle wrote that women have fewer teeth than men do. He was wrong. He was MARRIED; why didn't he ask his wife to open her mouth, and LOOK? Aristotle insisted that logic and philosophy outweigh evidence and experiment, which is entirely ANTI-science.Aristotle's pig-headed ignorance, and the insistence of his followers that Aristotle must have been right because he was so famous may have retarded the development of all the sciences for two thousand years. In astronomy, Aristotle insisted that the Sun, Moon and all the planets went around the Earth in perfect circles. Astronomers labored for 1800 years trying to figure out what sorts of circles, before finally accepting that Aristotle had been completely wrong.
