The English traded their guns with the Indians, in turn the Indians ended up just using the guns against their own Indian enemies rather then shooting down the English. I however do not know what the Indians gave back in return for the guns. Land maybe? no they did not trade there land the English stole it of them and put them into reserves they traded guns for coats and clothes

The settlers traded these beaded jewelry with the native Americans that were sacred to them. In return they were allowed to stay on a piece of the land. Later the natives began requesting things such as guns and weapons, and even though the mayflower settlers prefered not to give them guns because it would take away their upper hand, they had to for it was the only way they could continue to live there.

Nothing. Jamestown landed in the middle of a Native American empire of 14,000 people and they were in the worse tract of land in the area. There was little love lost between the two groups. At, first it seems that because of the location of Jamestown it wouldn't survive and it just about didn't . Within months only 34 of the 107 men were still alive and it seems that the Native Americans were allowing nature take it's course without doing anything. What is not realized is the ecological damage Jamestown bought with it. Plants, insects, and animals were introduced to the landscape changing it forever. It also changed the lives of the Native Americans and how they lived.
