It is because she tries to kill him.On the clock tower in twilight town,they have some ice cream,then Xion turns into Sora,and they fight.Roxas wins and what Xion used against Roxas,was all of the strength Xion had left.He absorbed her.

While Sora was in Castle Oblivion, Xehanort's (Ansem's) Heartless created a doll from Sora's memories, after about a year, Xion (the doll) after befriending Roxas and Axel tried to leave the organization, and Xemnas caught her and gave her the image of Sora, the next night, Xion and Roxas are having ice cream when Xion tells Roxas that to awake Sor, she must kill Roxas, but Roxas ends up killing her instead.

I doubt it. Those memories are inside Sora now and it make take awhile till anyone remembers Xion. Remember that secret scene on Kingdom hearts 2 final mix? That scene proves Sora is starting to remember his time on Castle Oblivion so maybe he will later remember Xion since Roxas memories have joined together inside Sora when they fused back together. I hope Xion somehow comes back to life on the next game. I love the kingdom hearts 358/2 trio and i shipp Roxas X xion.
