8. Each team has 8 rocks, so if Team A has all of its rocks at least touching part of the house (the "target" area) and Team B has none, then Team A will score 8 in that end. This is called an "eight-ender," and is sort of like Bowling a 300--it doesn't happen very often.
Yes, they do have a curling team.

Curling is a team sport.
Curling games are divided into ends. Each end has eight shots from each team. The maximum possible score for one end, therefore, is eight points. However, an "eight-ender" is incredibly rare, since it would mean that one team has put each of their rocks into the house in a position better than even a single one of the opposition's rocks. Therefore, the theoretical maximum number of points that could be scored in a ten-end game would be 80 points, although this is fairly impossible for any real competitive match.
An Olympic curling game is separated into 10 rounds called "ends." An end is complete when all 16 stones (8 for each team) have come to rest. The score for that end is then taken. Whichever team is closest to the center of the house (the scoring area that looks like a target) scores. The amount of points they get is equal to the number of stones they have that are closer to the center than the opponent's closest. A couple of examples: if red has 3 stones in the house and yellow has none, then red scores 3. If red has 5 stones in the house--one of them being the closest--but yellow has a stone that is closer than 4 of the red stones, then red only scores 1.

Just 1. Each rock is worth 1 point if it's closer to the center of the house (the painted "target" area) than the other team's closest rock. The different colored rings don't have different points values, they're just there to visually aid in judging how far rocks are from the center.
