You could calculate it by finding the volume of water in the pool (in cubic metres), the average depth of the pool (in metres) and the width of the pool (also in metres).

Then, linear metres = volume/(average depth*width).


However, rather than calculating the linear metres, it might be simpler to just measure the length of the pool.
