Well, 36 laps is 1 mile so 44 laps is 1.45 miles.
I presume this means the pool is 22 yards long and a lap is to swim from one end to the other and back, for a total of 44 yards. So we divide 800 by 44 and get about 18.18. So 18 laps and about two fifths of the way across the pool. To be exact, 18 laps and 8 more yards.
Well, isn't that a happy little question! In a 25-yard pool, you would need to swim 40 laps to reach 1000 meters. Each lap is 25 yards, and 1000 meters is about 1094 yards, so you just keep swimming those laps, enjoying the rhythm and movement of the water. Just remember, there are no mistakes in swimming, just happy little strokes!
Swimming the 40 foot lengths, it would be 5280/40 or 132. Swimming the 20 foot lengths would be twice that. if you make "circles" around the pool one lap equals 40+20+40+20=120 ft 5280/120 = 44 laps
40 ft = 12.19 meters, so 33 lengths required, (actually 402.3 m). We always used to call them lengths, now people seem to say laps. To my mind a lap is a turn around a circuit, as in motor racing, however use of words does change over time. What do you call a motor racing lap though, to distinguish it from a length?
It took Eric: (11*60)+44 = 705 seconds
44 km = 27.3 miles
44 kilometers equates to 27.3 miles.
44 miles
about 44 miles
About 44 miles.
44 Trillion km = 4.03891e9 (4.03891 x 10^3)
There are 1760 yards in one mile. Therefore, 44 miles is equal to 44 x 1760 = 77440 yards.
