Wooden boards, iron panels, etc.
A round pen's size is determined in part by the size of the horse using it. A mini will need far less space than a clydesdale. The usual size for an average round pen is 60 feet in diameter.

A 5 foot by 5 foot is good for the 4 of them.
A round pen with a diameter between 50-60 feet is typically recommended for join-up exercises. For safety reasons and optimal results, it is not recommended to use a portable electric fence for join-up. A solid round pen or enclosed area with good footing is ideal to establish trust and communication with the horse during join-up.
well a zombie pin is when u round up a bunch of zombies inside a fence they cant climb over then there you go a zombie pen
First, Convert all numbers to yards. 60 feet = 19.9 (rounded to 20) yards. 8 inches = .21 yards. Then, its straight math. The volume of a cylinder (or the volume of sand in an 8 inch by 60 foot round pen), = (3.14) x radius of the circle, squared, or (10 x 10) x height (.21).The answer to your question is : 65.9 cubic yards of sand. That said, I think that is probably more sand than you need in a round pen. I probably would go with about 3-4 inches. Just a thought. Good luck.
1 foot 6 inches would be a better estimate.
Yes I would, if their regular handler was in the pen with me.
A squid's tentacles are homologous to the snail's foot.
The price of a round pen can vary greatly. You can go very fancy or keep it more modest. I have riden in both kinds. A fancy round pen can include a roof, solid sides so the horse has to pay attention, and even mirrors to help you correct any faults. I personally love the mirrors. It's better than a video of your riding. Some have sprinklers built in to keep dust at a minimum. Or on the other end of the spectrum you can have paddock or pipe corral panels hooked together with one panel being a gate panel. (Its hard to get in and out without the gate panel. The first example can run up to $20,000. A bit expensive for the backyard horseman. The pipe corral round pen will cost about $110. a panel, so depending on how big you want your pen it will come in at around $1000. You can also make an all wood pen with 3,4, or 5 rails. But this is labor intensive, expensive and is high maintainence. The last thing to consider is what material you use for the floor. Sand (large gain) makes for good footing but don't make your floor too deep. Your horse may injure himself if he has to struggle in deep footing. Cost wise, sand can be very expensive. There is the material and the trucking cost to get it to your pen. So when figuring your budget include this in.
