The First Skiing Skiing may have come from snowshoeing. Though the history of skiing is somewhat obscure, we do know that the first type of skiing was cross country skiing. Down hill skiing evolved later on. The First Ski Poles The first ski poles evolved from walking sticks. They were first used by snowshoers, for balance. Down Hill Skiing Down hill skiing came during a modern era. Sondre Norheim constructed birch bindings, which could be the first stiff bindings. Later on, in 1896, Matthias Zdarsky created firmer bindings. With Zdarsky's bindings, skiers could turn and move about better on skis. Oral Tradition is often referred to as history that has not been written down. Depending on the context, such as in cultural anthropology and archaeology classes, the term for history not written down can also be prehistory, assuming it covers a time period before there were written records. In still another context, such as when describing details of everyday life of past peoples, it can be called the unwritten history - because it was during the historic period, but was not considered significant enough for anyone to write down.

The slowing down at the end of a workout is often called a "cool down". This is because it helps gradually lower your heart-rate and body temperature.
It is called deceleration or slowing down.
Gradually slowing down is 'decelerating'.
Deceleration refers to the decrease in speed or slowing down of an object over time. It is the opposite of acceleration, which involves an increase in speed.
You can either turn quickly to the sides to decrease friction, thus slowing down, or for begginers, just slightly tilt your skiis inwards(but do not cross them)
An object that is accelerating is either speeding up or slowing down. If the acceleration is in the same direction as the velocity, the object is speeding up. If the acceleration is opposite to the velocity, the object is slowing down.
slowing down till the end
If an object is slowing down, it is experiencing negative acceleration, also referred to as deceleration. This means that the object's velocity is decreasing over time.
When an object is speeding up or slowing down, it is experiencing acceleration. When it is turning, it is undergoing rotation or changing direction.
