The scale on a map is how far it takes you to get there for example in my class we are learning all about KFC and we have to get a map on it the scale on the map would be that it takes you 500 kilometers to get there by foot, car. bus or train.
The circumference C of a circle with radius R is C = 2*pi*R pi = 3.1416... R = 18 Using a calculator: C = 113 inches This is the length of track of an HO model train laid out with eight curved sections to form a circle of radius 18 inches, such as around a christmas tree.
The real Earth and a globe, a real train/car/building and the corresponding model.
Plot distance vertical axis and time on horizontal and draw a graph with the first train leaving at zero time plot distance travelled in 4 hours I.E. 300miles draw a line. For second train start from 2 hours on time line and plot distance travelled in 4 hours I.E. 500 and draw line where they intercept draw a line to distance scale horizontally answer 375miles from the station.

The scale factor for a model train with a length 36 inches and the length of engine itself is 24 feet would be 1/8th. In order to answer this you will have to do a little math.
You can tell the difference between diecast and other model train sets in stores by reading the box carefully. Normally, diecast train sets are built to scale.
S model train is the scale - S scale (Just a FYI, scale is the size of the train) S scale is 3/16 inch to the foot, sort of half way between O gauge and HO.
N scale is only about 4.8 inches in length and about 1.1 inches in height, depending on which piece of equipment you are measuring. Some N scale engines are 6 inches long and a caboose may be less than 2 inches long. The question is a bit vague, but N scale is 1/160th the size of the prototype trains.
"G" scale is the largest scale, often used for garden railways

The Antics Online Model Shop has everything that has to do with scale model railways. They sell many different n scale train sets, and they have several model shops in the UK, including one that isn't far from London.
it was actually a model! a 747 airplane
An O gauge Marx toy train set made in the late 1940s or early 1950s
No. There are many different scales, or gauges, of model trains. For example, an N scale train would be too small to fit on HO scale track.
It depends on the scale. Different scales measure at a ratio. Such as N scale, with a 1:160 ratio, a thirty mile per hour train only goes .18 mph in scale.
