A polygon made from 2 or more polygons is also a polygon. The number of sides in the resulting polygon is not a straightforward computation. For example, a triangle and a quadrilateral can result in a shape that is a quadrilateral. See my brilliant diagram below. Ignore the dots, they are just for getting the spacing approximately correct.

Or if a triangle is placed on top of a square, you can get a 12-sides shape. Polygons of all intermediate number of sides are possible.
Yes it is shape it has 5 sides * * * * * A polygon is a 2-dimensional shape with 3 or more sides that are straight lines. Not sure what a polygon "on a shape" is.
A polygon with 2 more side than a triangle is a 5 sided pentagon.
Polygon is a figure having more than 2 sides.
is a polygon.
There is no such polygon because a polygon must have at least 3 sides or more.
A polygon is a 2 dimensional shape with 3 or more sides.
square
A polygon is a shape with 3 or more sides therefore a 2 sided shape isn't a polygon
No. A polygon must have at least three line segments.
a polygon
square
It is and it isn't. It is a degenerate polygon in Euclidean geometry but it can be a useful concept in some situations.
