Mutiply out the brackets:
2x2-6x = 140
2x2-6x-140 = 0
Solving the above equation using the quadratic equation formula will result in:
x = -7 or x = 10 so it must be the latter because dimensions can't be negative.
Therefore: length = 14 meters and width = 10 meters
Check: 14*10 = 140 square meters
