the rate to fill the pool wile it is being emptied, is the rate filling the pool minus the rate emptying the pool.
x / 10 - x / 15
simplified
3x / 30 - 2x / 30
this gives x / 30
divide the rate the pool is filling, by the amount of water. (x / 30) / x this gives a time of 30 hours to fill the pool.
