Since we're talking about complex numbers, let's divide 82 by (1+i) or (82)/(1+i). Get rid of (1+i) on the bottom by mutiplying by the conjugate (1-i). We have (82)(1-i)/(1+i)(1-i) or (82-82i)/2 which is 41-41i. :)
