Lets say its 50-45=5. To check it, use the opposite sign. To check it would be the answer plus the bottom number. So 5+45=50. Or vice versa if it was a addition problem. If it was a division problem check would be multi. multi. problem would check divi.
it is called a conjecture
The statement seems absurd to me.
A proposition is a statement that is thought to be true but has not yet been proved.
A statement in maths is true only if it is proved by a series of mathematical manipulations and logic for any GENERAL number for which the statement should satisfy. Otherwise, it is only a conjecture. This is the beauty of mathematics and it is proof which differentiate mathematics from all other fields.
Yes, a statement can be true or false but without knowing what the statement is no-one can possibly say whether it is true or it is false.
A personal statement is something you say that you believe is true and an official statement is something that you know is true! :P I am silly!
A sentence formed using words and mathematical symbols which is either true or false but not both.
"In mathematics, a proof is a demonstration that if some fundamental statements (axioms) are assumed to be true, then some mathematical statement is necessarily true." (from Wikipedia)
Any statement that two numbers are equal, such as: 5 = 5 or: 5 = 6 While the second statement is not true, it is still an equation.
I would say "That is a true statement!"
NO because... u culd say i like men. that is not scientific but it is true
They are both concepts of a branch of mathematics that is called statistics.
