The easiest would be to multiply from left to right starting with 5 x 300 which

= 1500 then 5 x 0 =0 and 5 x 6 =30 then add them up 1500 + 0 + 30 =1530 multiplying from left to right removes the need to carry or borrow making it much easier to do mentally.

Mental math is basically just giving an estimate of what the value will be, for example: 5x306= 5x3 and add 2 zeros will give you 1500 and the actual answer is 1530 so its kind of like rounding off to the nearest.

How could you use mental math to find the product of 6X741?

To find the product of 6 and 741 using mental math, you can break it down by distributing the multiplication. First, calculate 6 times 700, which is 4200, and then 6 times 41, which is 246. Finally, add these two results together: 4200 + 246 equals 4446. Thus, 6 times 741 is 4446.
