The volumes of small irregular solids are usually easily measured by measuring the volume of fluid displaced when they are immersed in a liquid.

For example:

You would have to put the object in a measuring glass with water in it. (~1/3 filled) Put the object in it and then get the number from the measuring glass (beaker etc. mostly beaker) and that is how you measure a irregular solid!

How do you calculate the volume of an irregular shape?

use calculus and integrate or fill it with water and measure.

How do you calculate length breadth for irregular shape?

If you wanted to describe the length and breadth of an irregular shape you would find the maximum length and breadth. You could sandwich the object between two flat boards, and measure the distance between the boards. Then rotate the object 90o and do it again, for the breadth.

Definition of irregular volume?

An irregular volume is something and anything that no one can actually measure. An example of this is a cylinder with a cone as its end; a complex equation is needed just to describe the shape that it has.

How can we calculate the density of a irregular solid or a liquid?

You can dip the irregular solid in a water or other suitable liquid. This is how, you can measure the volume of the solid. The mass can be measured by weighing scale. Mass/volume = density. It is easy to measure the mass and volume of the liquid. First measure the mass the container. Then add the liquid to it. You will get the mass of the liquid. Then measure the volume of the liquid. Use the above formula to calculate the density of the liquid.

How do you find the perimeter for irregular shapes?

The perimeter of the irregular shape is equal to the sum of the six segment around the outside of the figure. 1. Select the endpoints of the segment to be measured. 2. Measure distance. 3. Use the measure calculate feature of Geometer's Sketchpad to add the distance.

How do you measure or calculate the perimeter of a shape?

If the shape is a regular polygon or curve there are formula for each shape. If the shape is irregular you will have to measure each piece of the shape's edge and sum all the pieces together.

How do you measure the volume of an irregular shape that cannot be put in water?

Make a clay or plasticine model, and place that in water. Or Use Autocad Or Use something line Autodesk Inventor Or Simply do some math - eg: measure it all up and calculate the volume of theoretical 1cm slices and then add them together. Or Look for regular shapes within the irregular, calculate volumes and add.

How do you calculate perimeter of irregular figures?

The exact method varies according to the figure. You must somehow calculateor measure the length of each segment of the outline, and then sum them.

What is an irregular rhombus?

Every rhombus is irregular because its angles are not all the same measure.

Is there such thing as an irregular rhombus?

Every rhombus is irregular since it has angles that are not all the same measure.
