Here is a number in scientific notation: 2.3456353*10^4

Here is that number in decimal notation: 23456.353

We know that 10^4=10*10*10*10

We also know that when you multiply any number by 10, you just add one zero. So, 10^4 = 10000.

Now, multiplying a number by a number that starts with a one and has only zeros will end up just tacking the zeros on e.g. 15*1000=15000

This is the same as moving the decimal point over one space for every zero. e.g. 15.00*1000=15000.00

So, when we multiply 2.345635 by 10^4 it's the same as multiplying 2.3456353 by 10000, which ends up moving the decimal over 4 places, which brings us to the answer of:

23456.353

Btw 10^4 means 10 to the 4th power/power of 4.
