This is a fairly straightforward equation.

1.5x-2.5x-o.5x=-3 can be written as (1.5-2.5-0.5)x =-3

Add the values in the brackets together and you have -1.5x=-3

divide both sides by -1.5 to leave you with x=2

If you replace the x-values in the origianl equation you get

1.5x2-2.5x2-o.5x2=-3 or 3-5-1=-3

How do you solve 5x2 plus 15x equals 0?

5x2 + 15x = 0 5x(x + 3) = 0 therefore, x = 0 or x + 3 = 0 that is, x = 0 or x = -3

15x-3 equals 2x plus 1?

OK, SO 15x-3 = 2x+1 15x - 3 + 3 = 2x + 1 + 3 (add three to each side) 15x=2x+4 (simplIfy) 15x-2x=2x-2x+4 (subtract 2x from each side) 13x=4 (simplify) (13x/13)=(4/13) (divide each side by 13) x≈0.30769231

the product of 15 and x?

The product of 15 and x is 15x. If you then want to substitute a numerical value for x to evaluate the expression of 15x when x equals that number then just multiply. For example, if x = 3, then 15x = 15(3) = 45 if x = 10, then 15x = 15(10) = 150 Good luck! :-)

How many solutions does y plus 5x equals -2 -15x-3y equals 6 have?

Sounds like a system of equations. Y + 5X = - 2 - 15X - 3Y = 6 substitution using first equation Y + 5X = - 2 Y = - 5X - 2 ==========insert into other equation as this is Y - 15X - 3(- 5X - 2) = 6 - 15X + 15X + 6 = 6 ========================This looks to be a dependent system that has an infinite number of solutions

What is the answer to 7x plus 3 equals 15x plus 9?

7x + 3 = 15x + 97x+3 = 15x+9 7x-15x = 9-3-8x = 6x = -6/8 => -3/4Explanation of working out the problem:7x+3=15x+9We want X's on one side and numbers on opposite side of Equal.When we move from one side to another, we also replace + with - and vice versa.7x-15x=9-3-8x=6We divide both sides with 2 so that we get a smallest possible answer.-4x=3I hate dealing with negative X's. it is so... negative..Multiply both sides with -1 and you get:4x=-3If you need to find X alone, then divide by 4 on both sides.x=-3/4 or in decimal terms it will be:x=-0.75And that is the end of the story :-)
