A polygon with no congruent sides is not going to have any convenient formula by which the area can be calculated, however, you can always break it up into a series of triangles and rectangles, and then calculate the area of those, and add up the results.

What is the area of a regular polygon if the radius is 8 cm?

The area of a regular polygon with n sides is the half of the product of its perimeter and the apothem. So that you do not have enough information to find the area of the polygon (for example how many sides it has, or the side length).

How do you solve regular and irregular polygons?

The answer depends on what you mean by "solve" a polygon. Do you want to find the number of sides or vertices, or lengths of sides, or measures of angles, or their sum, or the area of the polygon or its perimeter? And the answer, in most cases, will depend on what information you do have. The answer depends on what you mean by "solve" a polygon. What does find the area of each polygon mean?

well to find the area of an object, you multiply the length and height. si measure each of it's sides, and multiply together. that's how you find the polygon's area.

For perimeter of a polygon do you times the sides?

For the perimeter of a polygon you add the sides to find the total distance around the shape. For area, you multiply using the various formulas for different polygons.

How do you find perimeter of a polygon?

add the sides of the polygon.

How do you calculate the area of the polygon?

If it is a regular polygon--meaning that all the sides are congruent and all the angles are congruent, then the formula for area of the polygon is A=1/2 ap Here a represents the apothem, which is the distance from the center of the polygon to the midpoint of one side. p represents the perimeter of the polygon found by multiplying one side length by the number of sides. If you only know one variable such as side length, you can find the perimeter and you can find the apothem using trigonomety.

How fo you find the area of a polygon?

Multiply the sides

If the midpoint of successive sides of a regular polygon are joined a smaller regular polygon is formed Find a polygon of such number of sides so that the area is half that of the larger?

The polygon is a Quadrilateral.

What polygon is with three sides and congruent?

Isoceles triangular * * * * * Any triangle. Congruence is a relationship between two figures. Given any triangle you can always find another that it is congruent to.

Each interior angle = sum of angles/number of sides

What are congruent sides?

sides (no, not angles, SIDES, as in LINES,) that are the same length and thickness. Just like congruent shapes, but with lines. hope you find lots of congruent lines! :)
