You round the fraction up and find the value in that position.
There is only one way to find the median. if there is odd number of numbers for example.... 6,3,7,35,4,12,90 .... 35 would be the answer because it is in the middle no dividing. if there is an even number of numbers for example...... 3,78,4,6 .... the only way is to teach dividing first then mean, median, mode, and range. median, mode, mean, range are practically 5th grade concepts so give the second graders time to learn addition and subtraction and dividing and multiplying. an app called fast math is very helpful . otherwise to do the mean and there is two number in the middle, add them up and divide by 2. so add up 78+4 and divide by 2 always!.
Yes. Try dividing the number by every prime number up to its square root. If none of these divide the number evenly then it is a prime.
The median is the middle number. If there is an odd number of numbers in the set, the median is the middle number, and the only way to find the missing number is if the median is the missing number. If there is an even number of numbers in the set, the median is the average of the two middle numbers, and the only way to find the missing number is if the median is one of those two numbers. If it is, you can take the median and the one of the two numbers you know. Use the formula (# +#)/2=median and solve.

When you have finished dividing, the divisor (the number you divided BY) and thequotient (the answer you got) together, are both of those numbers, either way.Either of them can be the number of equal groups, and then the other one is thenumber in each group.

you know what you have to do...add takeaway then divide the numerators

Divide 208 by 2 and keep dividing the answer by 2 to give the following:2081045226136.53.251.6250.81250.406250.203125I gave up here! I hope this is what your question wanted to know?
for and odd number like 1, 4, 7, 9, and 23 it is 7 because it is the middle number. what i think you mean is what do you do if it is even. so, 1, 4, 7, 8, 10, 12. you would take the middle two numbers in the correct order(least to greatest) and then you take the average. the average is adding them together and then dividing by the number of numbers, which for the median will always be 2. hope this helps, dont know why you didnt know this before.

In general, you cannot.
The median is the number that will be in the middle when you put the numbers in to order. So if we order those numbers we get:6, 10, 12, 14, 19There are 5 numbers here so the median will be the 3rd number in our ordered list (you can divide by 2 and round up to the nearest whole number to know which is the middle number when there are an odd number of numbers such as 5; i.e. 5 /2 = 2.5 which rounds up to 3).The median is 12.Please note: if there are an even number of numbers (let's say there were 6 numbers instead of 5) then the median will be the average of the middle two numbers.Example: Let's add the number 20 to our list of numbers. After ordering you have:6, 10, 12, 14, 19 , 20.As there are 6 numbers now (an even number) we have to take the middle two numbers, which are 12 and 14 (You should divide the number of numbers by 2 and use this and this plus 1 to determine which are the middle numbers. e.g. 6 /2 = 3 and 3 + 1 = 4, so the middle numbers will be the 3rd & 4th) and add them together and then divide by 2.12 + 14 = 2626/2 = 13So the median for these 6 numbers is 13.
i don't know that's why i asked you.
Try dividing the number by 19. If the answer is a whole number (with no remainder), then the number is divisible by 19.
