Fill the 5l bottle Pour the 5l into the 7l bottle Fill the 5l bottle Pour 2l from the 5l bottle to the 7l bottle, leaving 3l in the 5l bottle Empty the 7l bottle Pour the 3l into the 7l bottle Fill the 5l bottle Pour the 5l into the 7l bottle leaving 1l in the 5 ll bottle Empty the 7l bottle Pour the 1l into the 7l bottle Fill the 5l bottle Pour the 5l bottle in the 7l bottle which makes 6l in the 7l bottle! Hard work for just 6l!
1. Fill 5L vessel and pour all 5L into 7L vessel. 2. Fill 5L vessel again and fill the remainder of the 7L vessel (2L...leaving you with 3L in 5L vessel) 3. Empty 7L vessel and pour the 3L from 5L vessel into 7L vessel. 4. Fill 5L vessel again and fill the remainder of the 7L vessel (this will be 4L, as you have already got 3L in 7L vessel from Step 3. Leaving you with 1L in 5L vessel) 5. Empty the 7L vessel. Pour the 1L (from Step 4) from the 5L vessel into the 7L vessel. 6. Fill the 5L vessel and add it to the 1L (from step 5) in the 7L vessel. You now have 6L in the 7L vessel...WATER THE PLANT!1 Kg or 1000 grams
Fill 7L and pour into 6Lthere will be 1L left over in 7Lpour 1L into 6L and refill 7Lpour 7L into 6L and what is remaining in 7L is 2Lrepeat for all 5L.
7L is about 7.4qt (US).

Fill the seven litre jug. Empty into 9l jug. Refill 7 litre jug and empty into 9l jug. 7l jug now contains 5l, whilst 9l jug is full. Empty 9l jug. Pour contents of 7l jug into 9l jug. Refill 7l jug and empty into 9l jug. The remainder in the 7l jug will be 3 litres
Fill the 7L jug right up, then fill the 2L jar from it twice. What remains in the 7L jug is 3L.
2l3x+7l-9=25 divide each side by 2l3x+7l-9=12.5 add each side by 9l3x+7l=21.5 since its absolute value there's two cases:3x+7=21.5 solve for x: subtract 7 from both sides and divide by 3x=4.833and 3x+7=-21.5 solve for x: subtract 7 from both sides and divide by 3 againx=-9.5so x=4.833 or -9.5
Assuming that you have more than one of each size jug (you need at least two of one size and one of the other), fill the 7L jug, then pour the water from the 7L jug into the 5L jug. There is now 2L left in the 7L jug. Get a different 7L jug and fill it, then pour that into another 5L jug (or empty the first 5L jug and reuse it). Once again, you will have 2L left over in the 7L jug. Pour that 2L into the other jug with 2L left over and you will have 4 Liters of water.Expressed mathematically, (7 - 5) + (7 - 5) = 4
