Motion is not infinitely continuous for the fact mass itself is balanced by gravity which creates friction in attempt to perfectly bring one another to a perfectly stable level where it reaches 0, but since they are not perfectly balancing one another it will approach 0 a few times going back and forth between negatives and positives as it slows down to reach an equilibrium. So in a sense motion is continuous in the fact that it never truly reaches a point of perfect uniform rest since it will actually have to go back and forth slowing down intensely each time but never coming to a complete stop.

Are molecules inside the solid stationary or in a continuous motion?

In a solid, molecules are not stationary; they are constantly in motion. Although the molecules vibrate around fixed positions, they still have kinetic energy that causes them to move. This motion is more restricted compared to the movement of molecules in liquids or gases.

Is all matter made made up of atoms that are in continuous random motion?

The atoms themselves may not be classified as "in motion" but the constituent particles of atoms are (protons, neutrons, electrons), and molecules having greater than zero energyare also in motion.

Can a body in motion can never have zero average velocity?

While a body in motion cannot have zero average velocity, there are many examples where the average velocity - after selected intervals - is zero. For example: a pendulum, or any object under simple harmonic motion, after a complete number of cycles; a rotating object (point on a wheel or hand of a clock) after a whole number of circuits.

What pressure would you expect in a rigid container of 0 centigrade gas if you cooled it by 273 centigrade?

If you cool the container to -273 degrees Celsius, which is absolute zero, the gas would theoretically have zero pressure since all molecular motion would cease. In practice, achieving absolute zero is impossible, but as you approach it, pressure would approach zero.

How much is x over infinity?

X over infinity does not exist but you can predict what it would be as you approach infinity, the limit, so to speak. It should be zero, if it does approach a number.

What is the amount of information in a continuous signal?

Does every real number have two qualities - a sign and a distance from zero?

Yes. Real numbers are points along a continuous infinite number line with its midpoint at 0.

If for every action there is an equal reaction how does motion occur when the net force is zero?

The motion of an object upon which the net force is zero exhibits zero acceleration. The object's speed is a constant ... which may be zero ... and the motion is in a straight line

How is a whole number defined?

A whole number is a number that cannot be broken down into parts and is not continuous. It represents a single discrete object. Whole numbers include the positive integers or natural numbers and zero.
