A year - is the time taken for a planet to orbit once around the sun.
On Earth we regard one rotation of our planet around our sun to be one year. Other planets revolve around the sun at different speeds and so have different lengths of years compared to us.
Light years
Year amounts between 100 and 1000 years.
Those are all measures of length.
The distance between planets are measured in millions of kilometers while the distance between solar systems are measured in light years while the galxies and the universe are measured in AU (astronautical units)
28 billion years
Years can be measured in hundreds; a hundred years is a century.
Stars are not measured in light years. The distance between them is.
They are measured in light years. Galaxies are often 100,000 light years across or more.
Earth years are measured with a calendar.
Usually such distances are measured either in light-years, or in parsecs.
It can be measured in days, weeks or months
