Let's convert everything to one unit. So we have 20' x 30' x 6" which when converted to feet (only the 6") results in

20' x 30' x 1/2' = 300 cubic feet

One cubic yard is 3' x 3' x 3' = 27 cubic feet

Hence 300 cubic feet is 300/27 cubic yards = 11.111

How many yards garden mix dirt to fill 14 inches by 24 inches long area?

Your question is missing either the width or the depth necessary to calculate the volume. If your space is 14 inches wide, please add the depth to your question. If the space is 14 inches deep, please add the width to your question. Given the stated values, 14/36 x 24/36 = 0.259 yards over the surface. If you measure the depth of the hole, you can convert it to yards and multiply it by 0.259 to find the volume in cubic yards. This doesnt sound to big, By the measurements, I would just use a 25 pound bag of garden soil, also depends how deep this is. Soil is measured in volume i.e. cubic yards. To figure this out from the dimensions given use this formula - length in inches X width in inches X depth in inches = cubic inches. Then divide the cubic inches by 1728 to get cubic feet. Finally divide cubic feet by 27 to get cubic yards. Example - 14 inches X 24 inches X 6 inches = 2016 cubic inches 2016 cu in/1728 = 1.17 cubic feet 1.17 cu ft/27 = 0.04 cubic yards 7

How do you figure out cubic yard for mulching?

You need to know how much area you are covering and how thick you want the mulch to be. Roughly 3 inches thick is good enough. That is 3/12 = 0.25 feet thick Take area in square feet times thickness in feet, which gives a volume in cubic feet, then divide by 27 to covert to cubic yards For example, if you want to mulch an an area that is 75 feet long and 5 feet wide, the volume is 75 x 5 x .25 = 93.75 cu ft 93.75/27 = 3.5 yards (3 and 1/2 yards)

How many cubic yards is in a rectangle 144 feet long by 6 inches wide 4 feet high?

144 ft = 48 yards 6 inches = 1/6 yards 4 feet = 4/3 yards So volume = 48*1/6*4/3 = 32/3 = 102/3 cubic yards.

How many cubic yards of concrete are necessary for a wall 7 thick 9' and 12' long?

252 cubic yardsI'm sure that the "7 thick" meant 7 inches thick.In that case, it will be 63 cu.ft. = 2.33333 cu.yds.Should the wall have an unlikely thickness of 7 feet, then the volume would be 28.0 cu.yds.(1 cu.yd. = 27 cu.ft.)

How many cubic inches volume are in an object that is 91 inches high by 112 inches long by 60 inches wide?

Volume = Height x Length x Width 91 inches x 112 inches x 60 inches = 611,520 cubic inches. This large a volume is usually converted to cubic feet or cubic yards. 611520 cubic inches = 611520/1728 cubic feet = 353.89 cubic feet 611520 cubic inches = 611520/46656 cubic yards = 13.1 cubic yards

How much dirt is 60 yards of dirt?

When a person speaks of a 'yard' of dirt, sand, cement or similar material, they actually mean a 'cubic yard'. A yard is a measurement of length. A cubic yard is a measurement of volume.60 (cubic) yards of dirt is the equivalent of 1,620 cubic feet of dirt. One cubic yard is measured as an amount that is 3 feet wide x 3 feet long x 3 feet high, or 27 cubic feet.60 cubic yards equals 27 cubic feet x 60, which equals 1,620 cubic feet.If you spread 60 cubic yards of dirt one foot thick you'd have an area of 1,620 square feet.If you spread this dirt 6 inches thick you'd have an area of 3,240 square feet.
