Lets figure out cubic feet first, then convert to gallons.

Volume = pir2h

pi = 3.1416

r = 1/2 X diameter = 1/2 X 20" / 12"/' = 0.83'

h = 20'

volume = 3.1416 X 0.83'2 X 20' = 43.6 cubic feet

43.6 cubic feet X 7.5 gallons/cubic foot = 327 gallons

How much fuel does a tractor trailer gas tank hold?

Class 8 trucks don't use gas - they use diesel. The capacity of the fuel tanks depends on how it's ordered. A local truck might only hold 100 gallons or so, while a long distance line haul truck might hold well over 300 gallons. For most fleet truck, 240 to 280 gallons is the norm. The truck I'm currently driving (and typing out this post from the sleeper of) has a capacity of 260 gallons.

How many grams equal 5 gallons?

If its water you are talking about then 1 gallon equals 8.34 pounds. There are 16 oz's in a pound, therefore there are 133.44 oz's. And from being a pothead, I know there are 28.35 grams in an oz. Therefore there are 3783 grams of water in 5 gallons. [note: The above information is correct UNTIL the last line. If you do the math... there are 3783 grams of water in 1 gallon. Multiply by 5... gives 18,915 grams in 5 gallons. km]

How much gas does an eighteen wheeler gas tank hold?

Not a drop. 18 wheelers don't use gas - they use diesel. As for how much fuel they carry, it depends on how the owner orders it. For a daycab which is only going to run short distances, there really isn't any need to hold 300 gallons of fuel, and it might only hold 100 or 120 gallons. For a line haul truck which travels long distances, 200 - 300 gallons is typical, with 200 - 260 being the norm.
