you need to know the rectangle dimensions to determine this. Acres is area and is width x length. If it is long and thin you will need many poles as it could be very long.
If it is a square since an acre is about 40,000 sq ft each side is 400 feet so perimeter is 1600 feet and you would need 1600/8 = 200 poles.
If it is a rectangle 1600 x 100 feet perimeter is 3400 feet and you would need 3400/8 = 450 poles.
If it is a rectangle 6400 x 25 feet perimeter is 12850 feet and you would need 12850/8 = 1607 poles, but the last two poles would only be 2 ft apart
etc.
Ask again and define the length or width of rectangle.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The perimeter of a rectangular area is any length greater than the minimum which is when the rectangle is a square.
An area of 4 acres = 4 × 43560 ft² = 174240 ft²
If this is a square, the side length is √174240 ft and it has a perimeter of 4 × √174240 ft = 528√10 ft ≈ 1670 ft.
→ you would need approx 1670 ft ÷ 8 ft/pole ≈ 208.7 poles
→ You will need at least 209 poles depending upon the exact dimensions of the rectangular 4 acres.
1 acre is 160 square poles.

It depends on the shape of the acre. It could be a very long thin rectangle.
An acre is equal to 4,840 square yards. The original definition of an acre was to cover a rectangle of 22 yards (one chain) by 220 yards (a furlong).
This depends on how many feet the trees are spaced apart. If the trees are spaced about a foot apart, then there is going to be about 43,560 trees in one acre.
1 acre is 160 square poles.

Acre is an unit of area and thus cannot represent sides of a rectangle
You can only Convert Square Poles to acre and if that's what you want then.....Amount : 7 square rods (poles/perches) (rd2 , sq.rd) Equals : 0.043750000 acres (ac)Fraction : 11/250 acres (ac)
One acre is roughly the size of a modern football field. So, half an acre is about half the size or one third of a football field.
4,840 square yards or 43,560 square feet, almost the same size as a football field.1 acre = 43,560 square feet.It can be any shape, as long as the enclosed area is 43,560 square feet.If it's square, then each side of the square is 208.71 feet long.If it's a circle, then the diameter of the circle is 235.50 feet.If the acre is in a rectangle 1 foot wide, then the rectangle is 8.25 miles long.
It depends on the shape of the acre. It could be a very long thin rectangle.
Wha…..
1 acre = 43,560 square feet40' x 125' = 5,000 square feet = 0.115 acre (rounded)That's 11.48% of an acre . . . less than 1/8 of an acre.1/4 acre = 10,890 square feet. If a lot is a 1/4-acre rectangle,then its length and width multiply to produce 10,890 .The 'acre fraction' of any rectangle is(length in feet) times (width in feet)/43,560
Often an acre of land is compared to a football field. In reality, an acre is equal to about 76% of a football field, when you consider both end zones.
An acre is equal to 4,840 square yards. The original definition of an acre was to cover a rectangle of 22 yards (one chain) by 220 yards (a furlong).
An acre is slightly smaller than a football field. A football field, including the end zones, is about 1.32 acres. An acre is 4,480 square yards while a football field, including end zones is 6,408 square yards.
