You move the decimal the amounts of zeros it has to the right. so if the number is 1.8 x 10= you move the decimal one to the right since it has one zero, then you multiply and get 18.0 its easier with a calculator but its still easy :)

How do you divide decimals by decimals with remainders?

Multiply the division problem by 1, in the form of 10/10, 100/100, 1000/1000,etc. in order to get rid of the decimal divisor. The quotient will still remain the same, as will the remainder. For example, 2.4/.03 is the same as 240/3 = 80. (multiply the original problem by 100/100) 3.5/.2 is the same as 35/2 = 17, remainder 1. (multiply the orig. problem by 10/10)
