x = [-b ± √b2 - 4(a)(c)]/2a
x = [-(-3) ± √(-3)2 - 4(5)(-7)]/2(5)
x = [3 ± √(9 + 140)]/10
x = (3 ± √149)/10
x = (3 ± 12.21)/10
x = (3 + 12.21)/10 = 15.21/10 = 1.521 or
x = (3 - 12.21)/10 = -9.21/10 = -0.921
The EXACT answer would be x = 3/10 ± √149 /10
Note: 149 is not divisable by a perfect square
