You convert the fractions to a common denominator. Then you can easily compare the numerators. In this case, you can easily convert 1/2 to a fraction with denominator 58.Another option is to use a calculator and convert each number into a decimal. These can also be easily compared.
You usually put the biggest denominator first. The bigger the number is the lower it means. So for EXAMPLE:20/30,15/30,6/10 . In least to greatest it would be the same order. In greatest to least it would be completely turned around
59.023, 59.0231, 59.024
From least to greatest: -45, -14, 79
Put them in order (least to greatest or greatest to least) then look a the number in the middle.
-3.0, 3.25, -31/2 least to greatest
look at the place
least to greatest as in number value would be: 1.0011, 1.01, 1.11, 111. The more digits after a decimal the smaller the number usually.
Least to greatest: -0.11 < 0 < 0.67 < 0.9
0.358, 3.58 and 35.8 are the numbers in order from least to greatest.
0.05, 0.5, 0.57 and 7.7 are the numbers from least to greatest.
There is difference between positive and negative numbers in Maths and Arithmetic. In positive numbers we can put least to greatest from left to right where left is least and extreme right is greatest . In negative numbers its vice versa.
convert fractions to decimal then just compare them, and then put them in order!:)
