Do you mean the width?

If so then let the width be x:

2(length+width) = perimeter

2(18+x) = 65

36+2x = 65

2x = 65-36

2x = 29

x = 14.5

width = 14.5 units in length

Check: 18+18+14.5+14.5 = 65
