None (approximately). Here's why: "Work" in physics has a slightly different meaning from the usual way we speak of work. In ordinary life we consider work as exerting force for a period of time. In physics we have to overcome forces that result in a change of position. Work=Force X Distance. If a Bowling ball rolls down the lane but on the other end shoot up a small ramp and winds up at the same elevation maybe where you are standing, no work has been done. (We'll ignore making a strike on the pins, which requires work to return the ball....). This "work" idea usually adds to the confusion students experience. They didn't have to use THE SAME WORD and then explain the difference. This drives people crazy. http://galileoandeinstein.physics.Virginia.edu/lectures/momentum.html

Why does a tsunami move faster than a regular wave?

That's because a tsunami contains thousands of more gallons than a regular wave. Example: In a bowling lane, a bowling ball (tsunami) is heavier and it can easily knock down pins. It's fast and heavy. If you tried to knock over the pins with a bouncy ball (regular wave), not much pins would be knocked over.. Though this explains why a tsunami can do so much damage, it does not explain how it moves faster. in a bowling alley both a bowling ball and a bouncy ball would move at the same speed.

How much space do you need for a bowling alley at home?

You would like to by the best bowling ball there is someone in the know please respond?

Depends on a lot of things. Mainly, how much do you bowl? It's not really a question of what ball is best, but what ball is best FOR YOU. Do you want to hook the ball a lot (can you)? Do you want it to hook early or late? Do you bowl at an alley that has a lot of oil or just a little on the lanes? The easiest thing to do is talk to the owner of the pro shop at the bowling alley you use. They will recommend a ball that fits the style of bowler that you are.

How much force would your arm have to exert to acclerate a bowling ball with a mass of 8 kg down a bowling alley at a rate of 4 m sec squared?

F=maF= 8 x 4 = 32 Newtons**I know this is probably a homework question, but its a bogus question. You actually don't use your arm to accelerate the bowling ball if you're doing it right. You're supposed to let it get to the height of the back swing and gain momentum by gravity, like a pendulum.**

If soccer ball and a bowling ball are about the same size why does the bowling ball have more mass?

A soccer ball is hollow and filled with air, which has little density. A bowling ball is solid material of a much greater density. * Because bowling balls have a standard size, about 21.8 cm in diameter, bowling balls weighing less than 5.4 kg (12 lb) will float in water.
