Not as good as Kevin Sullivan's.
Yes, 425 is bad, really, really bad. 600 is poor, 640 not too bad, 700 good, 740 really good.
Info available on Browning's site.
The Stevens 425 is currently selling from $400-650 for most rifles. Even poor to fair condition rifles are carrying $400 values, due to the relative scarcity. A mint condition 425 was recently purchased for $2,000 in 35 Remington. Have seen only one of the deluxe grade rifles which the owner has no intention of selling, and would surely sell for over $6,000 if offered at auction. Maybe much higher. These rifles are incredibly scarce in any kind of really good condition, and are beautifully designed.
